Introducing the real live Triple Play Lab

In Feldkirchen, near Munich, the Triple Play demonstration lab has been opened for the combined data, video and audio networks of tomorrow. The aim of this centre of excellence is to promote the development and spread of Triple Play solutions and to bring down barriers. It offers both manufacturers and users the opportunity to test Triple Play services and the interaction of different components in a practical setting. The laboratory infrastructure is set out in the form of a realistic Triple Play environment with city network including examples of private customer and enterprise applications.

These include a COMPUTER CENTRE with SERVER INFRASTRUCTURE and VIDEO/TV HEAD STATION, the CONTENT as well as all the necessary passive transfer points. Functions such as bandwidth management, provisioning, network management or billing can mapped. In addition, the infrastructure comprises all CORE and LAST MILE TECHNOLOGIES such as copper cables, coaxial connections, powerline, fibre optics and radio. Demonstration areas for various application scenarios such as the home area, hotel/hospital environment, conference area or office environment complete what we have to offer.

Testing in a practical environment

In tripolarize Play lab the integrated view on hardware and software one makes possible.

Video stream, language stream and data run by the Backbone, which is developed redundantly in safe 19"barriers. The Backbone is led by a glass fiber net by road distributors across the Point Of Presence and/or Enterpriseverteiler up to the private customer or business customer.

In tripolarize Play lab has the customer the choice, the information about powerLINE, xDSL, to refer Cabel or fiber ton the home.
